Jewish Deli Donates Vegetables and Pastrami to Masbia of Queens Before Closing its Doors Reported on NY1 by Clodagh McGowan

By kacper

Clodagh McGowan: We stay in Queens for our final story. That’s where a Jewish deli that closed last week gives one last gift to those in need. Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen in Rego Park donated nearly 350 pounds of cabbage, onions, potatoes, and sweet potatoes to the Masbia of Queens Soup Kitchen on Monday. Ben’s Best cut its’ last bit of pastrami Saturday after 73 years of service. People who work at the soup kitchen say the donation is enough to help you feed about 70 families at their Forest Hills dining room and remember the restaurant for their last act.
